Melissa & Kyle ~ The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth

Melissa & Kyle had a beautiful winter wedding at Fort Worth’s University Christian Church and reception at the Modern Art Museum. They had their first look in the church’s courtyard which had the only tree in Fort Worth that still seemed to be clinging to its red fall leaves–which was just perfect for pictures! Their warm, wintery reception incorporated their silver, white, and purple wedding colors with hydrangeas, gardenias, roses and ranunculus. I also love the parting shot of the couple in their getaway car before they jetted off to their honeymoon. Coordination by The Current Event, ceremony music by the Texas Boys Choir, cake by Sandy Chang for Sandy’s Unique Imprint, makeup by Adina Wright, florals by The Garden Gate, reception music by the Gilda Medina Band and Sauce the Band, bridal gown by Kenneth Pool.

Megan & Zeid ~ Omni Hotel, Fort Worth

Megan and Zeid had a gorgeous wedding at the Omni Hotel in downtown Fort Worth. Their wedding blended traditional elements from their Jordanian heritage like the Jaha ceremony with some with some less traditional wedding elements-like an amazing groom’s cake that looked like a backgammon table. I really loved their Middle Eastern band–they totally rocked and the guest danced late into the night!

Elizabeth & Rich ~ Texas Chic

Elizabeth and Rich were married in Fort Worth, Texas on what was probably the hottest day of the summer. It was a mind-melting 103 degrees outside and they boldly braved the heat (in really short spurts) to get some great shots outside All Saints Episcopal Church. The church has a little hidden peep hole at the back of the altar to give photographers a peek into the ceremony facing the couple–it is pretty ingenious! It is, quite literally, a tiny hole in the wall that I had to poke my camera lens through to get photos. Elizabeth and Rich had a blast at their reception at River Crest Country Club where they incorporated their Texas traditions with his and hers custom boots and Texas shaped croutons. They had a departure with some shimmery wedding streamers that created a bit of a web as they tried to make their honeymoon escape!

Katrina & Matt’s Wedding ~ Ashton Hotel, Fort Worth

Katrina and Matt had a beautiful wedding at the Ashton Hotel in Fort Worth on what felt like the hottest day of the summer. I was worried that the heat would drive everyone indoors scrambling for air conditioning, but Katrina and Matt were awesome and let me shoot in the beautiful natural outside light in downtown Fort Worth. I worked quickly so as not to overheat anybody, and got some really beautiful urban shots on the historic cobblestone sidewalks of downtown. Thank you Katrina, Matt, and everyone in your family and wedding party for braving the heat. We got some great shots and wouldn’t have been able to get them without your great attitudes and uncanny ability to look stunning in 100+ degree heat.

Kristie & Issam ~ Ponte Winery Wedding, Temecula

Kristie & Issam chose the Ponte Winery in Temecula, California for their quaint destination wedding. The decided to do their ‘first look’ in the vineyard, and I could see Issam light up when he saw Kristie. Kristie & Issam have such a natural chemistry together and warm affection that even in the short time I have know them, I can tell that they are truly the perfect pair. Issam grew up in Casablanca, Morocco and so, naturally, their first dance was to the film’s theme song, “As Time Goes By”. Congratulations!

A cute little girl brought her wedding Barbie along with her.
