Katrina & Matt’s Wedding ~ Ashton Hotel, Fort Worth

Katrina and Matt had a beautiful wedding at the Ashton Hotel in Fort Worth on what felt like the hottest day of the summer. I was worried that the heat would drive everyone indoors scrambling for air conditioning, but Katrina and Matt were awesome and let me shoot in the beautiful natural outside light in downtown Fort Worth. I worked quickly so as not to overheat anybody, and got some really beautiful urban shots on the historic cobblestone sidewalks of downtown. Thank you Katrina, Matt, and everyone in your family and wedding party for braving the heat. We got some great shots and wouldn’t have been able to get them without your great attitudes and uncanny ability to look stunning in 100+ degree heat.

Kristie & Issam ~ Ponte Winery Wedding, Temecula

Kristie & Issam chose the Ponte Winery in Temecula, California for their quaint destination wedding. The decided to do their ‘first look’ in the vineyard, and I could see Issam light up when he saw Kristie. Kristie & Issam have such a natural chemistry together and warm affection that even in the short time I have know them, I can tell that they are truly the perfect pair. Issam grew up in Casablanca, Morocco and so, naturally, their first dance was to the film’s theme song, “As Time Goes By”. Congratulations!

Melissa & Kyle ~ Urban Engagement

I recently photographed Melissa & Kyle’s engagement session in downtown Fort Worth. I went to high school with Melissa and had a great time reconnecting with her. I am looking forward to photographing their wedding in Fort Worth this coming winter. I also tested out two new lenses at this session, the 135 f2.0 and the 28 mm f1.8. I LOVE the 135 and is a new favorite of mine. Sorry to say that the 28 didn’t make the cut and get added to the camera bag permanently, but it was fun for some of the super wide shots.

Natalie & Matt ~ Laguna Beach Engagement Session

I photographed Natalie & Matt’s engagement session in Laguna Beach. Natalie found a great little beach with a small cave-like cleft in the rock. The beach was beautiful and it was worth walking down the TONS of steps that we needed to go to get down to the beach. I am looking forward to photographing Natalie & Matt’s wedding later this summer.

I got an email from my sweet photographer friend, Kate Miller, who was shooting a wedding in Fort Worth, Texas recently and snapped this picture. It wasn’t until she was editing them later when she spotted my business card in the make-up case of one of the wonderful make-up artist from Mancini Cosmetic Studio. She send me the picture saying “Take a close look, do you see what I see?” We both got a laugh out of how my business card ended up in her photos. By the way, if you are ever looking for fabulous airbrush make-up and your wedding is in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Mancini is one of my favorite make-up companies.
